I got my used bird dress at a thrift store. On the rack, it looked like a potato sack, but when I added one of my many waist-belts to it, it transformed into a figure-flattering squawk-a-thon. The black sweater, I picked up off the ground when wine tasting – no kidding – I spied a black, cashmere sweater lying in the dirt and took note of the discovery. Hours later, I re-spied it, picked it up, called it mine, took it to the dry cleaners and voila! Free sweater! Talk about cheap AND used. The shoes are used – they were practically brand-new at a thrift store and the necklace is from my great grandmother’s costume jewelry collection. The only thing in this ensemble that I purchased brand new is the belt – and it was super-discounted. Wow, I’m just beginning to realize how cheap I truly am!
